Welcome to Lifeways

 

Since April 2005 Lifeways has been two agencies: Lifeways, Inc. in Malheur County and Lifeways Umatilla in Umatilla County. September 1st will mark the opening of our newest facility, McNary Place, which will offer secure residential treatment for people with severe mental illness or who need short term crisis support.

 

We’re proud of our expansion, but helping people is still our first concern. Everyone at Lifeways is committed to helping you get the help you need, and this site will be one more way to do that.

 

Take a few minutes to look around, see what we do, how to contact us, and visit some links to other helpful sites. You’ll find forms that you can print out for referrals, to access different services, or to authorize a release of information.

How To Seek Help

Seeking help for a mental health problem can be difficult and confusing. Most people at some time in their lives will experience a significant event that will make them question their ability to adequately cope with life. In addition, as much as thirty percent of the population in the United States will experience symptoms of a major mental health problem at some point. Many people live with symptoms of chronic depression and anxiety and never seek treatment. Knowing where to turn to get help and what to expect from treatment are major barriers to seeking help.
