Lifeways has two psychiatrists on staff, one for children and one for adults. If you want to see a psychiatrist, call first for an appointment with a counselor, who will act as your case manager and help you keep costs down.

The psychiatrists on staff at Lifeways sometimes engage in counseling with clients, or they collaborate with the counselor who is doing the direct counseling. They manage medications, make referrals to inpatient treatment and keep in touch with medical providers.

 

A psychiatric nurse assists with client and medication management, often administering medications. She can answer any questions regarding medication and scheduling.
