Substance Abuse Treatment
Lifeways has fully qualified staff to assess and treat all substance abuse issues.
Services
Lifeways provides extensive treatment services to both adults and adolescents, beginning with an assessment of the problems and a recommendation for treatment.
Once the issues are identified, clients can participate in individual counseling, groups, inpatient treatment when necessary, as well as aftercare.
If the client has private insurance and prefers individual treatment, Lifeways is able to protect privacy with a separate entrance and waiting room. Confidentiality laws are followed very closely for every client.
If there are legal issues and the client is ordered to treatment, counselors will work closely with the court, juvenile department and probation department. Urinalyses and other monitoring tools may be used during the course of treatment.
Lifeways is also the co-founder of SAFE Court, a recovery program for adults involved with the judicial system. It is one of the most successful programs in the state.
Sometimes substance abuse co-exists with mental illness, and the two conditions feed off each other, making the situation worse. That person and family may feel hopeless as they bounce between programs that treat the illnesses as if they can be separated -- they can't. Lifeways is uniquely qualified to treat both conditions at the same time because both services are part of one organization. |
