Meet Rachel Rodriguez! She holds many titles here at Lifeways and can be seen excelling in those areas at both our Caldwell and Nampa offices! Rachel is in the Business Department as Rep Payee; she handles referrals and is also a back up for the front office in both locations assisting our clients in anyway she can! Rachel cam to Lifeways through a combination of hard-work and life events. She was a clerk at Heinz foods in Ontario from 1993-2001 then took her talents to Training and Employment Consortium, starting out as an admin staff and promoted to Dislocated Worker Case Manager from 2003-2006. She was part of the response team when the Amalgamated Sugar Factory closed which allowed her to assist many employees in utilizing funds that were available through the Trade Act to get retrained in a new trade. From 2006-2010 she transitioned into the Youth Department, working with many youths to obtain their academic and employment goals. Rachel then found herself unemployed and it was at that moment that she made the decision to attend The University of Phoenix to obtain her BS in Finance, life events had to put that degree on hold.

However, when one door closes another one opens, because in 2012 Rachel began her journey with Lifeways as an Admin. Assistant II and got promoted to Skills Trainer/ Case Management for the Strengthening Family 964 contract with the Dept. of Human Services for 1 year. Once the contract had expired, Rachel had interest in our Supported Employment Department. While working there for 2 years, she ultimately made her decision to her current title!

Apart from being raised in Ontario, OR, Rachel attended Treasure Valley Community College and received her Associate Degree in Applied Science- Office Administration in 2006. She also qualified to be a QMHA in 2012 for Lifeways!

Rachel has enjoyed her 7 years being here with us at Lifeways and explains what the most rewarding time are. “Throughout the 7 years that I have been at Lifeways, one of the most rewarding times is when our clients land a job, the joy to see on their faces, staffing their success with their clinician and/or provider, has been so rewarding.”
