Meet Rory Schilling! He is the Umatilla County Inpatient Administrator here at Lifeways! Rory hasn’t always worked in Mental Health, he worked in Children’s Administration for Child Protective Services in Washington State for 20 years and was also an Area Administrator overseeing Foster Care Licensing for the Eastern Washington Region.
Rory began his higher education journey at Walla Walla Community College before attending the University of Alaska Southeast. He earned his Bachelors degree in Science from Heritage College before finishing off his Master’s at Walla Walla University. Rory even said that his honors associated with graduating were “Longest time to earn a Master’s Degree at Walla Walla University.”
For Rory, laughing and appreciating the little things of his job. “I have the opportunity to work with some of the most amazing and professional people I've met or had the pleasure of working with. We make sure to laugh often with each other and the people we serve.”
As an aside, one of Rory’s passions is officiating. He has been a football official at the high school level for 20 years, a college official for three and has had the opportunity to officiate Professional Indoor football as well as professional women's football.
