Meet Camryn! She is the Idaho Outpatient Program Manager here at Lifeways but is also a key part in building mental health services at The Elevate academy and the Canyon-Owyhee School Service Agency (COSSA) here in Canyon County.

Camryn has been with Lifeways since 2015 and also helped with the inception of the Caldwell, Idaho branch. She even previously worked with Lifeways in the Caldwell School District!

When it comes to the mental health of the children of Canyon County Camryn spares nothing for the kiddos as she specializes in working with children. “I love everything about Lifeways and especially the team environment that it promotes”

Meet Caroline! She is a Mental Health Specialist III here at Lifeways and specializes in working with clients who have experienced trauma.  Caroline is currently facilitating DUI groups for Lifeways and is looking to expand groups to include anger management, breast cancer support groups, and survivors of interpersonal violence support groups.

Caroline is a recent addition to Lifeways as of July 2019.  Having been a social worker for over 20 years, Caroline has a rich social work experience and has “been there, done that!”  Caroline loves to work through trauma with survivors as this is her passion.  She has a lot of different therapeutic tools to help survivors of any trauma be successful.  One fun fact is that Caroline was the professor for many clinical social workers now working at Lifeways when they were getting their Master’s degrees.

Healing other’s traumas is what Caroline is passionate about.  “I love being at Lifeways.  It feels like coming home.  I love being with an agency that makes such a significant impact for our community.”

Meet Derek! He is a certified physician assistant licensed in Idaho and Oregon. He is working with Lifeways in Caldwell, ID but also sees clients via telehealth, performing psychiatric assessments as well as medication management for clients of all ages.

Derek attended Idaho State University and graduated with high honors on the Dean’s List, earning a degree in Exercise Science. After graduating, he spent a year completing an internship with the international organization, Chi Alpha, with an emphasis on world and medical missions as well as lifelong service. He then attended Idaho State University’s physician assistant program and got his Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree where he did clinical work all over Idaho. 

Meet Jason! He is the Clinical Supervisor for the Lifeways Caldwell Outpatient Mental Health Clinic and services Heart and Home Hospice as their Veterans Committee Chair.
Jason has been with Lifeways since 2017 and served on the interdisciplinary teams that updated the mental health assessment, clinical treatment plan, and substance use evaluations.
Jason spent four years and one combat tour to Iraq while serving in the United States Army and upon leaving the Army dedicated his life to helping others to live their best life. There are two professional mottos Jason practices by, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” And “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
Jason Johnson is a licensed LCSW for Clinical Supervision, a Certified EMDR Consultant and specializes in crisis and trauma. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree at George Fox University’s former satellite location in Boise, his masters at Northwest Nazarene University, graduating Suma Kum Laud with honors.

Meet Josh! He is an LMSW specializing in trauma, addiction and is currently accepting clients of all ages here at Lifeways at the Caldwell outpatient facility. Josh came to Lifeways from the Intermountain Hospital as a psychiatric technician, specifically with the adolescent and addiction units. He also spent 1 year in the West Ada School District as a CBRS from Community Partnerships of Idaho.

Josh earned his Bachelors in Science with an emphasis in Psychology and dual-minored in addictions and communication studies. He then went on the earn his Masters in Social Work from Northwest Nazarene University.

When it comes to Josh, he credits his work at Lifeways and the clientele he sees to his previous work. “I Grew to enjoy working with teenagers working at Intermountain, helping to empower them in situations where they have little power. Also have a history with addictions between an undergraduate internship in Moscow at an addition counseling clinic, to working on New Start at Intermountain to running the DUI groups at Lifeways for over a year as well as heading the transition to its current form.”

Meet Janet! She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults for depressive, anxiety, disruptive, trauma and other mental disorders here at the Lifeways Caldwell Outpatient Office.

Janet came to Lifeways after being a Clinician at Insight Consulting Incorporated from April of 2012 to January of 2016. She then was the Program Manager- Psychosocial Rehab Specialist for the Caldwell School District from Sept. 2015 to January of 2016. Janet has been with Lifeways since January of 2016 and beginning her 5th year with us! Her job specifics are Assess and Diagnose with a diverse population of all ages, designs implements and deliver treatment services on individual and group basis and also improves the mental health and daily functioning of clients meeting them at their season of life.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work in 2004 at Boise State University and a Master of Social work in 2011 at Northwest Nazarene University with a dual concentration of Clinical and Managerial. She was apart of the Gamma Chapter of the Phi Alpha Honor Society at NNU, Theta Psi Chapter of Phi Alpha Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society from Boise State University. She provides supervision for Master level clinicians working to obtain clinical licensure. As a life-long Idaho resident, she has treated a diverse population in Caldwell with a variety of Cognitive Behavioral treatments and techniques, Solution Focused Therapy and other evidence and strength based practices that personalize therapy to meet the specific needs of the clients she serves.

Janet has been an incredible bright spot here at Lifeways and she has enjoyed working with people all of adult life and led to Social Work after working as a registered cosmetologist since 1984. In the past 7 months she began working with a 40+ Women’s Support Group, with varying diagnosis and life’s challenges.
