School Based Mental Health Services

In collaboration with the Malheur Education Service District, Lifeways is working to make mental health services more accessible to students in our county. Qualified mental health providers (QMHPs) from the Child and Adolescent Team at Lifeways are available to serve students enrolled at Ontario High School, Ontario Middle School, and at three elementary schools (Alameda, Aiken, and Pioneer), plus the Four Rivers Community School. Lifeways hopes to expand access even further with other schools in the district. QMHPs assigned to the schools can provide services in English and Spanish. Services are currently being provided via telehealth, with some in-person options available soon. Our hope is to provide services on-site at the schools once students are able to return to schools. Referrals for student mental health services can be sent to or by contacting Lifeways at 541-889-9167, and asking to speak to Sam Galan, QMHP, or Nancy Longoria, Child and Adolescent Team supervisor.
